Most vape problems come down to a few causes — a flooded or dry coil, a loose connection, or a low battery. Here's how to diagnose and fix them fast.
Why is my vape leaking or gurgling?
Leaking usually means the pod is over-filled, the coil isn't seated, or it's been left in heat or low pressure (like a plane). Wipe the pod dry, don't overfill past the max line, and take gentler draws. Gurgling means liquid has pooled in the airflow — remove the pod and flick it gently into a tissue.
Why does my vape taste burnt?
A burnt taste means the wick has dried and scorched, from chain-vaping, low e-liquid, or not priming a new coil. Prime pods by leaving them filled 3–5 minutes before the first puff, keep the pod topped up, and pause between draws. A burnt coil can't be fixed — replace it.
Why is my vape not hitting?
Check the battery is charged, the pod is clicked in fully, and the airflow isn't blocked. Draw-activated devices need a firm, steady pull. If there's still nothing, clean the metal contacts on device and pod with a dry cotton bud — e-liquid residue breaks the connection.
Why do I get hot droplets in my mouth (spit-back)?
Too much liquid on the coil or drawing too hard. Take slower, softer draws, don't over-prime, and flick the pod into a tissue to clear excess liquid.
When should I replace the pod or device?
Replace pods or coils every 1–2 weeks, or sooner if flavour dulls or tastes burnt. If a device won't charge or fire after cleaning contacts and trying a new cable, recycle it and replace the kit.
