Why brand comparisons are harder than they look

Most vape brand comparisons online are rewritten spec sheets. Puff counts, battery capacity and juice volume all come from the manufacturer, which means a comparison built on them tells you which brand writes the most optimistic numbers, not which device you will prefer.

Our comparisons work from what differs in use: how quickly flavour fades, how the finish survives a pocket, whether refills are easy to find in six months, and what the real cost per week works out at.

What we compare on

Flavour longevity. A pod fades before it empties. Heavily sweetened ranges caramelise sucralose onto the coil mesh and fade fastest; fruit and menthol ranges last considerably longer on the same hardware.

Refill availability. A kit is only as good as the pods you can still buy for it next year. This is where big brands genuinely beat smaller ones, and it is rarely mentioned in comparisons.

Finish durability. Textured and rubberised wraps hide wear best, brushed metallics next, dark mattes look excellent briefly and then show every scuff, and gloss or pale colourways are the least forgiving.

Actual running cost. Not the price of the kit. The price of a month of using it.
