Nic Salts vs Shortfills: The Two Types of UK E-Liquid

UK e-liquid comes in two main formats. Nic salt e-liquids are sold in 10ml bottles at up to 20mg strength — smooth at high strengths and fast-absorbing, they're the natural pairing for pod kits and anyone switching from smoking. Shortfills are larger bottles of zero-nicotine liquid designed to have a nicotine shot added, favoured by sub-ohm vapers who want lower strengths in bigger volumes.

UK Legal Limits on E-Liquid

• 20mg/ml maximum nicotine strength — the legal cap for any nicotine-containing e-liquid sold in the UK
• 10ml maximum bottle size for nicotine-containing liquid
• 2ml maximum pod/tank capacity on any device

Choosing Your Strength
